More Information
Acting4DHH is a project by the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) community in Thessaloniki, Greece, aiming to improve social wellbeing through citizen social science.
In this framework, for this project activity, we call on Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing citizens to collect videos (15 sec each) and/or photographs that depict their daily interactions/collaboration with Hearing citizens. The videos should include subtitles and the photographs to be accompanied by a 5-line text in which reflections on the difficulties and opportunities of Deaf-Hearing collaborations should be shared. Deaf participants can also share how they experience these collaborations.
These collection of videos and photographs aims to raise awareness of the need for inclusion and empowerment of DHH citizens; empowerment that comes as a result of collective efforts, solidarity and community bonding between Deaf and Hearing individuals.
The collection of videos and photographs will be completed on October 31, 2024.
The Acting4DHH project is funded by the Horizon Europen IMPETUS Accelerator programme (https://impetus4cs.eu/, GA: 101058677).
Exciting news: Our Acting4DHH II project is now up and running! Funded as a Sustaining grant by IMPETUS Accelerator 2025, the project unites Deaf communities from Greece, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine to advocate for Deaf-Hearing individuals collaboration through citizen social science!
