More Information

We will have a fascinating presentation by Sharife Gacel, who describes herself as an “analog astronaut”. Ms. Gacel will tell us what it’s like to live in isolation with six strangers on the side of the world’s most active volcano, as they simulate as closely as possible the experience of living on the moon. You’ll learn how they all pushed their limits to accomplish their goals, and discover what was learned in the process.
