Astronomy on Tap Boston: Exoplanets

Please note that Lamplighter CX is a 21+ venue and requires valid government-issued ID. Minors may attend only if accompanied by a 21+ parent or guardian. Otherwise, we welcome everyone to attend! Our event is FREE, first come first serve, with no RSVP required.

Are we alone in this Universe? Astronomers have discovered over 6000 planets beyond the Solar System since the 1990s. Modern telescopes, such as the recently launched Roman Space Telescope, are expected to find tens of thousands of more exoplanets! Come to our next event on October 6, 6-8pm, at Lamplighter CX (Cambridge) to learn all about exoplanets and fun stories behind this field with two astronomers from Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian (@centerforastro), Adam Distler and Juliana García-Mejía! As usual, we will also have space trivia and fun prizes!

Each Astronomy on Tap Boston event features FREE, accessible, and engaging presentations by local astronomers about the Universe! Most events also have games and prizes to test your new knowledge! There is also plenty of time to ask questions, interact with presenters, and chat with other scientists who stick around for a beer.
