More Information

Join us for the Astronomy on Tap NYC’s 167th event, and the last of our monthly series at Pete’s Candy Store*! Astronomy on Tap is fun and informative, with professional scientists and educators, plus games, prizes, and a bit of learning while drinking.

Astronomy on Tap will continue in 2026! But this is our final show at Pete’s Candy Store*, and to show our love of Pete’s (they really are awesome!), we’re taking a look at other endings. Of dinosaurs, the Earth, and the Universe. What is, was, and will be – all the dark existential dread with a mix of comedy and levity. Our speakers this month are: •Jillian Bellovary (she/her), CUNY Queensborough/Grad Center, on the end of the world and the Universe. •Dr. Steven Jaret, CUNY Kingsborough / AMNH, on the search for the end of the dinosaurs.

With an extra special trivia honoring our time at Pete’s (and Brian’s favorite trivia topic – Star Trek!), with fantastic prizes! Doors open at 6:45pm, event start at 7pm SHARP. Arrive early to get your seats, grab a drink, and settle in for science talks, trivia, prizes, and fun!

*Starting in January, we’ll be in a new monthly venue!
