Campaign: Tire Toxins. Protecting Marine Ecosystems

This campaign focuses on addressing the ecological and health risks posed by chemicals released from tire wear, such as 6PPD-q, which are increasingly detected in waterways and linked to harm in marine life. Citizen science participants will engage organizations, regulators, and advocacy groups to raise awareness, highlight safer alternatives, and push for sustainable solutions in tire design and use.

This initiative is part of the larger interdisciplinary Civilization Efficiency Index (CEI) project, which aims to document the societal impact of research and turn scientific findings into tangible actions.
