Engineering for Kids: Colorful Chemistry Lab / Build a Better Zoo

(AM - JUNIORS) Colorful Chemistry Lab Art and science unite in Colorful Chemistry Camp! Using a series of fun, hands-on experiments, campers will explore the scientific and chemical basis of the world around them. The youngsters will explore colors, fluids, nature, and chemical reactions as they are taught how to ask questions and find answers like a scientist - the basis of the scientific method. The Colorful Chemistry Camp makes science fun through playful and creative experimentation. (PM - JUNIORS) Build a Better Zoo There’s a big problem at the local zoo; the animals are very unhappy! They have outgrown their cages and are bored by their basic, concrete surroundings. In these lessons, campers will learn about engineering, mathematics, architecture, and biology while advancing their literacy skills through a variety of daily, animal-based story reads. They will work as zoo engineers and zoologists while using the Engineering Design Process to design and build solutions to a variety of challenges.
