Transform into a little scientist in our Mad Lab! We’ll mix, stir, and bubble our way through fun and safe chemistry experiments, learning about basic science concepts with lots of silly fun.

Dive into the big blue without getting wet! We’ll discover the wonders of the ocean.

At Wizard School After Dark, your magical journey begins with obtaining your ticket at Platform 9 3/4, a Sorting Hat quiz to find your house, and selecting your personal wand for the evening. Then, dive into a world of hands-on science: brew bubbling potions, sculpt a clay mandrake, create troll booger slime, learn about Gillyweed (seaweed), dissect owl pellets, and hunt for pixies in Defense Against the Dark Arts. Plus, enjoy a costume contest, Quidditch Pong, a magical creature scavenger hunt, and more for an unforgettable adult experience! Enjoy themed drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic at our cash or credit card bar) and delicious appetizers!

Young paleontologists will embark on an unforgettable journey back in time, excavating fossils and hatching dinosaur eggs. Kids will also get creative with cave painting and crafting stone tools, before erupting a volcano and making dinosaur tracks to learn about these magnificent creatures’ extinction and movements.

This winter season, for the first time, Discovery Place Science invites visitors to step into a glowing, snow-dusted wonderland with the debut of Snow Days, a one-of-a-kind, all-ages exhibit opening Saturday, November 22 and running through the winter holidays. Snow Days is a fully immersive experience designed to inspire awe, nostalgia and wonder during the winter season.Exhibit areas will include: Aurora Borealis Experience Sock Skating Rink Nature & Animals in Winter The Inuit: Life, Culture and Survival The Snowflake: Research, Art and Folklore Hygge: Human Comfort for Survival Snow Days is an exhibit that appeals to all ages. The exhibit is included with general admission to Discovery Place Science and is free for Members.
