Join Flagstaff Open Space for a guided walk through Picture Canyon to explore the traditional uses of native plant species. Throughout the walk, we will stop at key locations to observe various plants and provide instruction on how to create accurate and informative field sketches. Coloring pages will be provided for children. Please bring a sketch notebook, pencil, water, and snacks. No artistic experience is necessary–everyone is welcome to participate! Reservations are required. Part of Flagstaff Festival of Science, a free annual 10-day event wholly designed to promote awareness and enthusiasm for science in and about northern Arizona and beyond, and is fondly known as the Best 10 Days of the Year. Established in 1990, it is the longest, continuously running, entirely free science festival in the world.
