The best game creators are the ones who play them, and virtual reality breaks the boundary of what it truly means to play games. From mega-hits like Beat Saber to emerging technologies that invite players across the globe to play, chat, and live together in a virtual world, VR is an expanding industry. Step directly into your virtual reality game with the Meta Quest—an all-in-one VR system. You’ll pair it with Unity, an industry-standard game engine, to create your own interactive experience. Use Unity’s built-in XR Interaction Toolkit to design game mechanics, implement interactivity, and critically analyze your game’s components. Your VR experience can be whatever you envision, whether that’s an underwater exploration of sunken ships or a ghost-hunting adventure at an abandoned mansion. Start by grayboxing and designing your levels, then bring the final product into your VR headset, where you can see, hear, and lose yourself in the immersion of 360 audio and video. You’ll come away from this course with an expansive and imaginative virtual realm built from scratch that you can add to your game development portfolio and share with friends! Ages 13 - 17 Jun 1-6 5 nights. All meals. Sun 6pm-Fri 2-3pm. First meal Sunday night. Last meal Friday lunch.
