Join the next generation of food pioneers!

Get ready for an out of this world experience. Join food science educator Daphne Bradford for an exciting new afterschool program designed to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of food scientists, aerospace innovators, and future astronauts.

With NASA’s Artemis campaign leading the charge back to the Moon, this is a thrilling time to explore the science behind space exploration, starting with what astronauts eat. Students will dive into hands-on activities focused on space food preparation, using real preservation techniques like dehydration, fermentation, and freeze drying. Along the way, they will explore how to develop sustainable food systems for both life on Earth and missions beyond.

This innovative program highlights the essential role of nutrition in human survival, whether on Earth, the Moon, or one day on Mars.

This program will meet every Tuesday & Thursday, 3:00pm-5:00pm May 20th-29th.
