Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Desert 101 Hike

Join Ranger Olivia for an introductory hike into the Sonoran Desert. This beginner-friendly hike will be good for those who want an easy hike to learn about plants, animals, or the Sonoran Desert in general- this is the hike for you! Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring water and any questions with you! Water and restrooms are available in the parking lot. To register, please call the Visitor Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 9 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Visitor Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.
