Join Ranger Kevin for an evening stroll around the grounds of the preserve. Enjoy a roughly 1.5-mile walk on the Palm Lake, Mesquite Meander and Lions trails. We’ll stop at Palm Lake to watch for bats and birds swooping over the water, and then walk through a portion of the preserve in search of the rich variety of wildlife that come to visit this special place. Deer, javelina, coyote, skunk, ringtail are just a few of the possible animals we may see. Trails are rated easy, although thick sand is possible in some stretches. Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms are available near the parking area. NO pets, please. MEETING LOCATION: Visitor Center Limit 15 participants.
