Join Ranger Shaun for a morning hike! If we’re quick, maybe we can beat the heat! Hike Slate trail early in hopes of catching of glimpse of some cool wildlife and some cooler temps! The day heats up fast but this early, we might be able to sneak in and out before it gets unbearable. Ranger Shaun will guide you down Slate trail from the trailhead to the park boundary and back. This is a roughly 3-mile round trip hike on an easy rated trail. The trail features some minor elevation changes, generally on gentle slopes.
