Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Junior Ranger Family Hike

Looking for something to do with the kids over winter break? You found it! Join Ranger Kevin for this roughly 1.5-mile hike on the Quail, Saddle and Baseline trails. Prior to the hike, we’ll talk about the Junior Ranger program, set up every young person with their own activity book, and then we’ll actually do some of the activities together on our hike as a way to get a head start on becoming an official Junior Ranger! The hike is generally easy but does feature some stretches with loose rock, uneven terrain and elevation change. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring water. Hats and sunscreen are recommended. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center. Please, NO pets. MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 6.
