Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Saguaros in Sunset

Join Ranger Olivia for a hike to see and learn about the stunning saguaros during sunset. Ranger Olivia leads this picturesque hike to watch the sun set while also learning about saguaros along the way. We will see the sunset, saguaros, lake views and maybe some evening critters as well. This hike will be along the Yavapai Point Trail at the North entry of the Lake and will be a total of 3 miles out and back. The terrain is level for the first portion but then begins to increase in elevation with portions of small to medium rocks underfoot with a total elevation gain of about 400 feet. You may bring your blacklight and regular flashlight to look for evening critters(optional). Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms are available at the Trailhead.
