The hike will cover 3 miles round trip as on out and back along sections of the Scenic and Pemberton trails on rolling gravel and sand. Hikers should bring plenty of water with them and come to the hike pre-hydrated. Also make sure to have a flashlight or headlamp with fresh batteries or a full charge. If you have blacklights feel free to bring them along to help the ranger look for scorpions. Water and bathrooms can be found at the trailhead staging area. For those of you participating in the 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge, this is a great way to work towards your goal! The challenge runs from Nov.1-Feb. 8.
