Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Scorpion Safari

Join Ranger Olivia on a hike to look for scorpions and other nocturnal creatures that call San Tan home. We will be looking for wildlife in the dark so make sure to pack flashlights and blacklights, if you have them, and make sure everything is charged or have extra batteries. We will be hiking along Rock Peak Wash for our safari! This trail is rated easy with most of the trail being sandy and some rocky/uneven parts, and a total of about 2 miles. There are NO restrooms at the trailhead. Please no pets! PLEASE NOTE: Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events.
