Join this Desert Defenders event to help make seed pellets using native seeds that will later be used to improve the health of our desert ecosystem. Cave Creek Regional Park September 5 8 am – 11:30 am Meet at the Nature Center. Participants will learn to make pellets by mixing native seeds with clay, soil/compost, and water. You will also learn how to process the native seed and prepare for the pellet creations. The initiative to make seed pellets is a proactive step towards ecological restoration. Dress in clothes you do not mind getting dirty, or wear an apron. We will be indoors and outdoors near the nature center. We encourage family participation; however, parents must be present for minors, and it is recommended that participants be at least five years of age.
