atrol the Stoneman Road Educational Ride from Fraesfield Trailhead. The Stoneman Road was a military road created in 1870, connecting Fort McDowell and Fort Whipple. Join us to patrol some of the historical remnants of this road and listen to the story of the people who made it. This is an Intermediate biker skill with moderate cardio level on about 13 miles over 3 hours. A bike with wide knobby tires is required. Please, no road bikes, hybrids, or folding bikes. Please check the working order of your bike before you leave home. Helmets required. Bring water and snacks for the trail. Restrooms at the trailhead but no water. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start. No electric assist bikes. To inquire about an accommodation from the City of Scottsdale, please call 480-312-4444.
