Science of Medicine Day

As part of the Wisconsin Science Festival, Gundersen’s Family Medicine residents visit elementary schools to provide education and hopefully inspire some of these children to pursue careers in the medical field. We cover human anatomy, X-rays and splinting, immunizations, first aid/safety and healthy living.

Our residents will be joined by medical students from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a few attending clinicians, nurses, and medical assistants from the Family Medicine Residency Clinic. In 2026 – We will visit Sand Lake Elementary School in Holmen, WI.
