STEM Lab: Healthcare Heroines

With the demand for healthcare on the rise, and women making up less than 40% of active physicians in the U.S., the need for young, aspiring, female physicians and researchers couldn’t be greater!

In this hands-on lab lead by experts in the healthcare and biomedical fields, girls will explore aspects of medicine and how they contribute to a healthier population. Use a marshmallow to check your pulse, concoct blood slime, use UV light to identify germs, understand how CPR works, witness a cow eye dissection, and more. This lab is designed to inspire the next generation of healthcare heroines!
