You may not need to go far to enjoy the night sky—try starting in your backyard! Join us as we share tips and tricks for becoming a stellar backyard astronomer!
Our presentation by Alice Few (and friends) will be in the planetarium regardless of the weather!
If the weather cooperates, Tacoma Astronomical Society volunteers will have their telescopes in the parking lot after the presentation. Otherwise, we will stay inside the fantastic Pierce College planetarium for an inside "What's up in the Sky Tonight" activity.

There is no charge for public programs or for observing. However, donations are gladly accepted and used to further public education and outreach programs.
The Tacoma Astronomical Society hosts free monthly public viewing sessions at Pierce College near Fort Steilacoom. Indoor lectures, demonstrations, and workshops are available at public nights regardless of the weather. Each season boasts something new and exciting for our frequent guests.
