Data literacy is a key 21st century skill for nearly every occupation and daily life. Students who are data literate must be able to read, analyze, and communicate with data, but the reality is most middle and high schools don’t teach students these valuable skills. Join us for this unique workshop to explore the role of data science in the middle grades, to experience a data cycle, and to improve the teaching and learning of mathematical content (SP) and scientific ideas. Presenters: Adam Gardner and Rodrigo Gutiérrez Location: Hybrid: In-person at UArizona Tucson Campus. Remote via Zoom. Earn: Up to 6 hours of professional development credit for recertification.
