More Information

Join us at 7:30PM PDT, Wednesday, June 17th for a special Astronomy on Tap for our 10th year anniversary and the third in a week of City of Astronomy events here in Pasadena. It features visiting scientists from around the world in town for the American Astronomical Society’s semi-annual meeting in Pasadena. This Astronomy on Tap will be one of three happening this week for the City of Astronomy, so stay tuned!

We’ll meet at the outdoor Dog Haus Biergarten in Old Town Pasadena, and hear from UC San Diego Professor Kyle Kremer discussing: “Black Holes, Neutron Stars, and White Dwarfs in Globular Clusters.” After that, we’ll host UC San Diego Professor Floor Broekgaarden in a talk entitled: “Gravitational-Wave Paleontology: Black Holes as Cosmic Fossils.” In addition, we will have telescopes on-hand for guided stargazing, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes, live music from local rockstars Jason Achilles and Forrest Mitchell, and NASA swag!

The event is free and open to all ages. No reservations are necessary, just show up and stay only as long as you want. To view our past events, see our location page. For more information about our future events and affiliated Stargazing Lecture Series at Caltech, see our website.
